To the “Unknown Soldiers”

by on December 18, 2014

Yesterday morning my beautiful mama had a major medical procedure done. Because of the importance of privacy for my family, only a few family and friends knew.

As I sat in the surgery waiting room, many things came to mind: how ultimately we have no idea when our day is up, how we are mortal and at some point, life will end, and also how in the end, when all the smoke clears, God is in control.

It was such a relief to have the doctor come in 4 hours later and say, “the procedure went as well as I would have wanted it to, she’s doing well.”

We prayed and thanked the Lord for his faithfulness and goodness to my family, and then it hit me: we had asked people to keep us in prayer for my mama’s surgery, but in reality many of you prayed for my family, as you always do, not knowing how in need we were for your prayers.

So I want to say thank you! To all of you who didn’t know my mama was in surgery today, but who faithfully everyday pray for my family. From the bottom of my heart, “thank you, thank you, a million times thank you!”

You all have no idea how much your prayers helped us today. I literally felt the power of prayer today as my family and I sat in that waiting room and trusted Jesus to take care of her.

So, for all of you that faithfully pray for us, blessings to you and your loved ones. I will never be able to say thank you enough for how you blessed us today! I will eternally be thankful to each and every one of you!

Merry Christmas,

Pastor Jubal García
