About

Metanoya Church opened its doors on Mother’s Day 1973 to reach the families, friends and neighbors of those being saved at Outcry in the Barrio.

The name Metanoya was chosen for a very specific reason. It best represents what happens in the life of a person when they have an encounter with the love of God. It’s taken from the Greek language meaning a change in one’s way of life resulting from repentance towards Jesus Christ.

Today, both Outcry in the Barrio and Metanoya Church continue to experience the grace of God which has extended itself in the most unlikely places throughout the United States, Mexico, South America, the Caribbean, Central America, Europe and many more to come.
